
Nancy Ohia
Nancy was born in Los Angeles and spent her primary years in Nigeria. Her drive and passion for policy were born from her lived experiences in both the United States and Nigeria. Through her academic journey, lived experiences, and professional background, Nancy has become an advocate for increasing access and success in higher education for students from underrepresented communities.
Her work is driven by the belief that a powerful tool for social mobility and empowerment is education. She is passionate about strengthening transfer pathways, improving college admissions processes, and advocating for increased financial aid opportunities for marginalized students.
Nancy looks forward to collaborating with the Campaign’s policy team to find equitable solutions to bridging the educational divide and ensuring that the voices of students who need it most are heard.

When I am not at work helping students get to and succeed in college I am… hiking through Los Angeles, going to concerts, and trying new restaurants.
If not higher education then what cause? Addressing the displacement of Black and Brown communities in Los Angeles due to the affordable housing crisis.
