Redesigning Career Education for Economic Mobility and Equity

The Campaign for College Opportunity thanks Governor Newsom for reimagining learning mobility and pathways to high-paying, longstanding careers for Californians by building upon stronger partnerships between higher education and workforce partners. With a bold charge of better aligning learning with opportunities for economic mobility, The Master Plan for Career Education affirms what we have long known: it is imperative that our state establishes a statewide coordinating body that includes K-12, higher education, career technical education, and centers equity so that all students benefit from this renewed vision for racial and economic justice.
