Sukai Kato-Hopkins (pronounced “sky”) is a graduate of UCLA’s Higher Education & Organizational Change (HEOC) program. During her time at UCLA, she gained valuable experience working in student advising, retention, and admissions. Following her graduation, Sukai joined Cerritos College in Southeast LA as part of their institutional research team. She now serves at EdInsights, where she contributes as an external evaluator for the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO). Originally from a small town in Nara, Japan, Sukai is passionate about exploring innovative educational practices worldwide. On weekends, she enjoys visiting the local farmer’s market, picking up a pie, flowers, and tackling a new culinary challenge—next on her list: clams!
